Hi I'm Mary!

My spiritual interests include contemplative and imaginative prayer, and both ancient and modern spiritual writers, and the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Raised in the Protestant tradition, I later converted to Catholicism, enriching my spiritual journey as an adult. As an enneagram coach, I have undergone extensive enneagram trainings, which have led to greater self-acceptance, improved relationships, and significant spiritual growth here in Atlanta.

I hold a Master in Pastoral Studies (MPS) and Certificate in Spiritual Direction (CSD) from Spring Hill College, 2019. As a well-trained enneagram coach, I have earned five enneagram certifications, including those for enneagram practitioner, coach, and typing professional. In terms of ethics, I adhere to the Spiritual Directors International (SDI) Ethical Guidelines for Spiritual Direction and meet regularly with my spiritual director and supervisor. To further my development, I often take courses offered by SDI, the Office of Ignatian Spirituality, Ignatian Ministries, the Ignatian Spirituality Project, and various Enneagram workshops.

As an affiliate spiritual director and enneagram coach at Ignatius House Jesuit Retreat Center in Atlanta, GA, I facilitate weekend spiritual conversations with retreatants. I also serve as a volunteer retreat facilitator at Ignatius House for the Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP), focusing on women in recovery from homelessness and addiction. Additionally, I contribute reflections as a spiritual director for The Contemplatio podcast, which is part of the Ignatian spirituality community. I am a member of the Spiritual Directors Collective led by Becky Eldridge and involved with Ignatian Ministries. My roles also include traveling to Mobile, AL, where I serve as a silent retreat spiritual director at the Ignatian Spirituality Center (ISC), which is affiliated with Spring Hill College and the Visitation Monastery. 

I loved my role as RCIA catechist and sponsor for several years. During those years I served regularly as a Eucharistic minister as well as a case sponsor and advocate for annulment petitioners for the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Metropolitan Tribunal. 

My spiritual growth was enriched by my involvement with the Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC), sponsored by Ignatius House in Atlanta, GA, where I was assigned to Lutheran Services of GA, Development Dept. As an LSG Volunteer and Ignatian Volunteer Corps Member, I utilized my life experiences to lend a hand and create smiles for those in need.
